Hotel Quinta da Marinha is a luxury resort situated in the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
It has an 18-hole golf course, full health club and spa. After the extensive ReStyling in 2014, the Hotel has become more contemporary, making guests feel even more at home. As the reception area is the first point of contact a visitor has with us, we started there, balancing our desire for more personalization with the requirements of hospitality. We’ve ensured it’s now a brighter environment, adding a fashionable grey that combines perfectly with the lighting and the new soft tones. And we’ve carried on that desire to enrich the visitor experience throughout the project.”
The lobby area also benefits from the addition of six paintings by the late Portuguese artist Ana Safer, in which she tells a story of Portuguese wines.
Each of Hotel Quinta's air-conditioned rooms has a spacious balcony with panoramic views of the golf course or the Sintra mountain range. Rooms also include a minibar, flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with Plantation amenities. Five Pines Restaurant offers international buffet meals and Rocca serves gourmet Portuguese cuisine made from organic vegetables grown on-site. Live music can be heard at the Trent Jones bar. At the spa, guests can enjoy a relaxing pedicure or body treatment. There is also a fitness centre and an indoor pool. Located in the coastal town of Cascais, Quinta da Marinha Resort is a 35-minute drive from Lisbon and only 4 km from Guincho Beach. A courtesy transfer to Cascais is offered to resort guests. The 2014 Restyling Project, gave special attention to the improvement of the Rooms. To match the famous views of the Hotel Quinta da Marinha Rooms, to the intense green of the Golf and the blue of the lakes, we wanted to redouble the comfort of our guests. The beds were enriched with the quality of the cotton sheets and bulky textures of linen. The new lighting project was designed to give the correct light to the room making it functional and comfortable.

The Golf:

The Quinta da Marinha Golf Course, in Cascais, has 18 holes with 5.870 meters of pure nature and big challenges. This par 71, designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones, offers fantastic views over the Atlantic Ocean and the Sintra Mountains. In this course you can really see the style of Robert Trent Jones in the elevated Greens & Tees, many bunkers in play and, as expected, some water hazards. Every hole is different, you will have to use all the clubs in the bag and play with strategy to make a good score. Some of the holes you won’t forget are:
Hole 3, Par 4, it is one of the most famous holes of the Portuguese Golf, with view to the Atlantic Ocean, its picture was used for many years to promote “Golf in Portugal” abroad. Hole 4, Par 3, played over a natural ravine to a quite demanding Green. Hole 13, Par 3, you play over a big lake to an elevated green well protected with 4 bunkers. Hole 18, a beautiful Par 5, with two lakes,  all shots have to be well thought to make sure you are not penalized by the water.
The Lisbon Golf Coast area won in 2007 and 2016 IATGO Award - Best Golf Destination Europe. You can challenge your friends to a little competition or practice in lessons with a PGA certified instructor. But most important is to play your favorite sport in a dream landscape.

Nearby there are other important golf clubs including: Estoril Palácio Golf Course; Penha Longa Atlantico.
