The Golf:
There are some golf courses nearby, including Golf Club Perugia and Golf Antognolla.
The Golf Club Perugia is only 6 km far from the old town centre of Perugia, historic Etruscan town. Moreover, the Club is strategically placed near to many interesting cities of art, such as Assisi, Gubbio, Todi, Spoleto and Cortona. The course 18 holes is gently undulating parkland – par 72 -, partly dating from the late nineteenfifties. Many fairways are sourraounded by a rich vegetation; the player has to be accurate especially on the tee shoots; the holes are not very long, but quite insidious, especially when arriving on the little greens. The club house was, in times past (1921), a limekiln; the two imperious towers still rise over the course. There is an excellent practice ground with open and cover bays, two chipping greens and a practice putting green. There are also three separate par 3 executive holes. Inside the Club House there is a restaurant open for lunches and dinner, where you can taste the traditional umbrian cuisine.
Golf Antognolla is one of the most spectacular and challenging golf courses in Italy, the eighteen-holes at Antognolla feature long, cliff-lined fairways, beautiful water hazards and large, undulating greens. Conceived by renowned designer Robert Trent Jones Junior, the clever layout makes Antognolla an exciting and satisfying course for golfers of all abilities.
